William J. Fox, Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), announced today the appointment of Diane K. Wade as Associate Director for Administration and Communications. In this position, Ms. Wade will oversee FinCEN’s human resources, financial management, administrative services and communications efforts.” Ms. Wade comes to FinCEN from the Department of Energy where she led a team implementing Energy’s Budget and Performance Integration and Five-Year planning initiatives. Ms. Wade’s efforts directly contributed to OMB’s recognition of Energy as one of two of the “most improved agencies” in the President’s Management Agenda. “We are very excited and fortunate to have Ms. Wade as part of the FinCEN team,” said Director Fox. “Her accomplishments and experience in the budget, logistics and human resources areas will serve FinCEN well.” Before joining Energy, Ms. Wade was a civilian employee in the Department of the Army, serving most recently as the Acting Deputy Division Chief, Operating Force Division in the Army’s Budget Office. In that position she was responsible for the formulation and justification of the Army’s $21.0 billion dollar operations budget. Prior to that position, Ms. Wade led the preparation and justification of the Army’s Training and Mobilization budgets, ensuring critical transformation requirements and resources were fully justified and defended for Army units world-wide. From 1994 to 1996, Ms. Wade served as the Chief, Resource Management Division, of the Army’s Material Command - Far East, where she was responsible for the management of over $1.0 billion in logistical assets in the Pacific Rim. Ms. Wade has a BS in Marketing from George Mason University in Virginia.
