FinCEN names Jack Cunniff as Associate Director for Client Liaison & Services

William J. Fox, Director of the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), announced today the appointment of Jack Cunniff as Associate Director for Client Liaison & Services. Mr. Cunniff will oversee FinCEN’s information technology and liaison initiatives in support of our partners within the law enforcement, regulatory and international communities. “Mr. Cunniff brings nearly thirty years of valuable federal law enforcement experience to this important position,” said Director Fox. “His knowledge, skills and expertise will allow FinCEN to serve the needs of its many and varied customers in these important areas.” Previously, Mr. Cunniff served as the Acting Associate Director for Client Liaison & Services beginning in June 2004. He came to FinCEN in December 2003 as the Gateway Program Manager. Prior to arriving at FinCEN, Mr. Cunniff was the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Investigations at the Federal Emergency Management Agency - Office of Inspector General, where he developed a new information management system. That office became the Department of Homeland Security Office of Inspector General. Prior to this position, Mr. Cunniff served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department of the Treasury for the Under Secretary (Enforcement). Mr. Cunniff began his law enforcement career as a Special Agent with the Secret Service in New York in 1975. He held senior management positions in the Intelligence and Presidential Protective Divisions, ending his career with the Secret Service in 1999 as the Special Agent in Charge of the Office of Protective Operations.
