The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) will hold an Informational Webinar on Thursday, September 19, 2013, to discuss technical specifications related to the electronic filing of the Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR).

The Webinar will provide participants with an overview of recent FBAR electronic filing technical enhancements and other important features of the electronic FBAR. FinCEN representatives will be available to answer technical questions about the electronic FBAR and batch filing after the presentation.

This Webinar is intended for software development professionals and third party service providers, such as attorneys or accountants. Please note that FBAR regulatory requirements will not be discussed during this technical webinar. We recommend that participants review the July 29, 2013, notice entitled, “FinCEN Introduces New Form for Authorizing FBAR Filing by Spouses and Third Parties”.

PC-based attendees will require: Windows® 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2003 Server or 2000Macintosh®-based attendees will require: Mac OS® X 10.4.11 (Tiger®) or newer
